Ducted air conditioning provides central air conditioning to all rooms in a house.  It is typically reverse cycle, it can be used for both cooling and heating your home and is the cheapest form of heating your home. 

Ducted air conditioning systems are unobtrusive and once installed, only the controller, return air and discharge grilles are visible inside your home area or room. 

They can be  installed in both new and existing homes, providing the home has a pitched roof and enough ceiling or under floor space for the ducts.

Ducted systems allow more control over the central air flow through the inclusion of zoning options. Typically a zone will be a room, or a group of rooms that can be closed off this ensures energy is not wasted by cooling or heating rooms that are not in use, and allows for more cost effective air conditioning for your home.

Stand Alone Ducted Air Conditioning Systems

Stand Alone systems are ideal when you wish to air conditioning an area where a discrete installation is preferred.  The indoor unit fits flush into the ceiling with only the suction air and discharge grilles visible inside your home and leaving maximum floor and wall space for furniture, decoration and fittings.

Bulkheads may sometimes need to be constructed to contain some of the duct work if there is not enough space in the ceiling, under the floor or in the wall.  However, bulkheads can also be relatively unobtrusive.
