How do I choose the right size air conditioner for my home?
Every home is different, and the right air conditioner will depend on many factors, such as room orientation, window size and ceiling insulation to name a few.
It's an important decision to get right, as an air conditioner that's too small won't adequately heat or cool your home, but one that's too large will be inefficient and expensive to run.
Avalon Air has the expertise, knowledge, skills and experience to help you make the right choice.
I am worried about rising electricity costs are Daikin air conditioners energy efficient?
Energy efficiency is an important factor when purchasing an air conditioner. Daikin are air conditioning specialists, and invest heavily in research and development to continuously improve energy efficiency.
Efficient, computer designed air control surfaces, proprietary inverter technology and intelligent eye sensors are just some of the factors which make Daikin air conditioners energy efficient. These are just some of the reasons why Avalon Air recommends Daikin.
Choosing the right air conditioner and having it professionally installed is the best way to provide energy efficient heating and cooling for your home. An air conditioner that's too small will require excessive energy to heat/cool your home. Too big, and you will pay more in electricity than you should.
We will use our expert knowledge and experience to help you select the most energy efficient option for your home.
How hard is it to get Daikin spare parts?
Daiking takes pride in providing its customers with effective and efficient after sales service and support, including readily available spare parts warehoused in Australia for fast deliver.
How often should I clean my air filter?
You should clean your air filter when the filter light flashes, but this will vary depending on the air quality in your home and other environmental factors.
In more dusty or polluted environments you should clean your filters more regularly. We suggest you clean your filters once every season in residential houses.
I've cleaned the air filter on my Daikin air conditioner but the light won't go off. What should I do?
Once you've cleaned your air filter, press the 'Reset' button to turn off the filter light.
- On wall mounted split systems and floor consoles, remove the grille to find the reset button
- For ducted systems the reset button is located on your controller.
Can I switch my air conditioner off at the isolator or circuit breaker?
It is OK to turn the power off, especially if you are away for long periods. Most Daikin air conditioner outdoor units have a low wattage heater that keeps the compressor warm.
If the compressor is cold, damage may occur at start up, so if you turn off your air conditioner at the power point or fuse box it must be turned on again at least 12 hours before use.
I have whole-house ducted air conditioning, so why is it only working in one room?
Daikin ducted air conditioners can be designed so that different parts of the house (zones) can be air conditioned independently. Chances are your air conditioner is set to climate control one zone.
Check to see if the zone switch is turned on.
